  Kala Namak is a traditional Indian black salt which can either come from India or Pakistan, which is actually a dark purple-pink in colour (don’t ask me?). It does go paler pink when it’s ground.

  It is ideal for Indian cookery. Kala namak or black salt has a deep purple colour to it. Kala namak has a faintly sulpurous aroma from being heated to 900C with natural reductive agents until it melts, before it is cooled, stored and aged.

  This product is Vegan.
