Naturally high in ALA and omega 3 fatty acid, which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (2g of ALA a day).
Cold-pressed hemp oil is a great source of both omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. I particularly like the fact that hemp oil contains a good amount of omega-3 – significantly more than some other nut and seed oils such as pumpkin and sunflower seed. These omega-3 fats can be converted by our body into other omega-3s called EPA and DHA, which are important for heart and brain health.
