These award winning pasta twists will be warmly welcomed by anyone following a wheat or gluten free diet. There is no need to change your cooking or eating habits with this pasta and guests may not even realise they’re eating a gluten free meal.
Cooking*: per portion boil 1lt of water and 1tsp salt, then stir in 100g pasta. Boil for 5 minutes and carefully taste the pasta every minute until it is ‘al dente’. Drain and serve immediately.

Italian organic pasta made by Iris Bio in Lombardy, Northern Italy. Iris Bio have been a workers’ cooperative since 1978 (nearly as long as we have!). They make pasta about 10km away from the farm using bronze dies (pasta shaping tools) which help to create a texture that holds a sauce much better than conventional methods . The pasta is made using a low temperature method and is slow dried to ensure optimum nutritional quality.

Our organic wholewheat fusilli pasta has a naturally porous and rough surface, great to hold condiments such as a classic tomato sauce or one of Suma’s tasty organic pasta sauces. Then it’s dried slowly to preserve the nutrients and bring out the taste and aromas of the wheat. Delicious! And now we’ve ditched the plastic. Our Italian organic wheat pasta is now packaged in biodegradable and recyclable paper, sourced from sustainably managed forests. Printed with water-based ink and heat-sealing lacquers without solvents. The product lasts as long as it would in plastic packaging, if stored correctly.

Sicilian tagliatelle wholewheat, produced with 100-years expertise and passion of the Barbagallo family. This pasta is produced from Sicilian high quality durum wheat and is processed within 24 hours from wheat kernel into pasta. The milling of wheat & pasta production takes place on the same line, a unique process. While in 1900 the spaghetti was traditionally dried on wooden shelves in the city centre, nowadays the drying process takes place in the pasta factory. Drying takes place on the traditional way on low temperature between 50 and 65 degrees. This in order to preserve aroma and nutrients. Now that’s the traditional pasta “con amore e passione” from La BIO IDEA.
