Textured vegetable protein, also known as textured soy protein, soy meat, or soya chunks is a defatted soy flour product. It is often used as a meat substitute in vegan dishes.

For best results, pre soak in hot water or vegetable stock first to allow the mince to expand and soften, then add to your favourite recipe. Or alternatively add water/stock, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.
