Vegan Cake Mix

To 500g Mix add 230g water and 100ml veg oil

  1. Add 2/3 water to cake mix and mix well for a couple of minutes
  2. Add the balance of water and oil together for a further 2 minutes
  3. Bake at gas 4 / 175C for 35-40 mins (160 for fan ovens)

    • Add 30g custard powder to 2 tablespoons sugar in a mixing bowl.
    • Mix smoothly with 2 tablespoons milk taken from 1 pint.
    • Put remaining milk in a saucepan on heat.
    • When nearly boiling remove from heat and add to the mixed custard stirring well.
    • Return the custard to saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring well.
